Well, whatever week it actually was, I mean this past week since I last wrote my blog. The week of Monday 24th to Sunday 30th!
This was a good enough week, in a number of ways.
Things are moving along nicely in Hohenstein-Ernstthal, a village where we want to start offering a kidsclub or afternoon drop-in for the kids. We met with the Headmaster of the grammar school to see what he thought would be best for us to offer, and also to see if we could advertise there! He was very enthusiastic, and thinks the fact we have two native English-speakers is what we should go with. So it's looking like being an English-club! We also met the head of the English department in the school and she's very keen for me to go in for classes to talk good England with the kids. So I might be doing that soon!
I nutmegged Barry at football. I don't think he liked that.
On Tuesday we, the team, had individual meetings with Barry and our coordinator lady Ellen Meier, and they were to give a bit of feedback on how we're feeling personally and how we're getting on workwise, and then also to get their feedback on us. So, I'm happy to say, that they're very happy with me, and gave me a lot of encouragement! So that was great, and I'm encouraged and looking forward to going on with the work!
When we were practising our nativity play on Tuesday night we were in absolute stitches, we did it pretty well, but then started just spoofing all our lines, and mucking about and overacting, twas well funny!
I have a new friend, he's called Pepe, he's a penguin, and he's from Portugal! No, I haven't gone crazy, I created this little character to use for kidsclubs, mainly for the younger kids, and got a wee teddy penguin to go with that! Its fun!
On Saturday night we had an Irish evening, with dancing and stuff, and my friends Bethany and Jenny, who are studying in Leipzig, came up for it, and we had a good ol' laugh!
Thats about it, for this week, twas a good week, twas quite busy, but twas good! It was great, every piece of work we did this week I enjoyed, like, a lot! I didn't find any of it stressful, the kids were all in good form, and weren't at all stressful, everything this week went well! So I thank God for that!
Thanks again for all your prayers, and please keep going with them, I assure you they are very much appreciated and very much needed!
God bless you, whoever you are, wherever you are! :o)
